WINTER 2009 NEWSLETTER

Welcome aboard to new readers of Regent University's military newsletter, whether you're students, staff/faculty, partners, or friends of the Regent military community. In a challenging year for our nation due to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the economic recession at home, we hope that the services and support we strive to provide to you have made your lives a little bit easier.

The Regent military office has been working hard to establish itself not only on campus-by providing service and support to our military students-but also in the Hampton Roads community and Mid-Atlantic region. On campus, we have an open door to our students, helping them navigate the administrative side of their studies. Off campus, Regent Military is partnering with the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, military ministries and other organizations to support military families.

Generous educational benefits like the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill-Yellow Ribbon Program and the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) have led to impressive growth in military student enrollment at Regent. With each day, we believe that we are leading the way in providing "high-touch" service to our military students and their families. If I haven't yet had the privilege and honor of meeting you, please come alongside at your earliest convenience to share a cup of coffee-or an email dialogue if you are at a distance.

My fervent prayer is that we will not waver in unbelief at God's promise, but become strengthened in our faith and give glory to God, because we are fully convinced that what He has promised He is able to perform (Romans 4:20-21).

Sincerely,
David Boisselle
Director of Military Affairs
