The MMATE
Center is located in the Psychology
Department of the School of Psychology & Counseling
and was established with the goal of supporting marriages in our community and religious marriage
ministries.
The Marriage
and Ministry Assessment Training and Empowerment (MMATE)
Center's mission is to support and empower marriages in our community and marriage
ministries in houses of worship. Our research is investigating the influence of religion on marriages, marriage therapy and marriage ministries.
The Center is directed by Jennifer
Ripley, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology. It
involves a team of doctoral students who are involved
in providing counseling through our clinic on campus and supporting local church groups marriage ministry.

This Center was approved by the Academic
Council of Regent University in the Spring of 2004. Information about ongoing research is found on our website.
